Royal Purple 05530 5W30 Synthetic Motor Oil - 5 Gallon Pail Review
If you race your own car, you'd be a fool not to use Royal Purple. Anything turbocharged, anything supercharged, any high-performance vehicle needs good synthetic oil. Mobile 1 is good, this is better. I saw a noticeable jump in power and fuel efficiency on the dyno and on the road in my SRT-4. I just recently started using it in my BMW 330Ci as well, with similar results.
Using synthetic oil is a must on high performance vehicles is a must because they often engineer piston clearances to looser tolerances to cope with the stress of turbo/supercharged intakes, etc . . . This also causes much higher engine temperatures that break down the molecular structure of cheaper oil much faster than that of synthetic. Synthetic lasts twice as long with drastically reduced performance loss over its lifespan. Often just changing your oil filter every 3000 miles and replacing the oil/filter every 6000 miles will suffice even for hard-driven vehicles.
You have to pay a little extra if you want a performance vehicle to last. Especially if you drive it hard. Using an excellent synthetic oil like this one will save you a world of heartache and empty wallet syndrome down the road.
Would not recommend for drivers who think they own a performance vehicle because it has an exhaust, body kit, and racing stickers on it (Honda, Toyota, etc . . .). You'd just be wasting your money on something that would last just as long on organic oil.
